A minor fender bender on a Bronx street Friday morning turned violent when one driver stabbed another, a source said.
The suspect, a tow truck driver who is claiming self-defense, is being questioned by police, the source said.
The incident happened 11:30 a.m. on University Ave. near W. 181st St. in University Heights.
The source said the stabbing victim was in his Honda when he got into a minor accident with a tow truck driver, then got out with a knife to confront the truck driver who also had a blade, the source said.
The tow driver got the upper hand and attacked the Honda driver.
The 23-year-old victim is being treated at St. Barnabas Hospital.
